March is "Music in Our Schools Month", so today I spoke to the 5th grade Music Class promoting Music Education as well as my platform "Embracing the Special Needs Child". I encouraged the students to consider taking music and art classes as they prepare to enter Middle School later this year. I also encouraged them to be kind and practice empathy with other students who may have a disorder or disability. Middle School is a very influential age, so I stressed to the children how important it is to make the right decisions and be of good character.
