Candi, one of the Moms Next, mothers opened up sharing her personal story of her own daughters diagnosis of
Asperger's Syndrome - an Autism Spectrum Disorder. She is a great example on how advocacy can go a long ways when you are consistent and dedicated to the cause. Great job Candi! Thank for blessing my life tonight!
After Candi introduced me, I then shared how important is to advocate for yourself first and your marriage second if you want to be successful and effective in advocating for your kids. In other words, you have to take care of yourself spiritually, physically, mentally and emotionally in order to have the energy advocate for your children. The health of your marriage needs to also be a priority. This is so important, as there is an 80% divorce rate among families with special needs children. These children need their families to stay intact!

Wow, what a surprise! I haven't seen Judy in years! We used to work together! She still looks beautiful and hasn't aged a bit - in fact she looks younger :). Judy is such sweet lady and a blessing to many.
