"Run for Tina " 5k Memorial Scholarship Run

On Saturday, January 29 I had the honor and privilege to volunteer at the "Run for Tina" 5k Memorial Scholarship Run. Tina Griswold was a Lakewood Police Officer (as well as my neighborhood patrol officer - she was such a kind woman), killed in the line of duty on 11/29/09. Tina was also an avid runner. Her Birthday is January 28th. This event was held to celebrate her life, her passion for fitness and her dedication to serving her community as a police officer. The Tina Griswold Memorial Scholarship is awarded to students pursuing careers in law enforcement by the National Association of Women in Criminal Justice.
