On Wednesday Oct. 27 I had the
privilege of meeting a very special girl named Alanna Nixon. Alanna and her friend Paris Harrison (who could not be here on this day). with their organization "Kids4Kids", raised $38,000 to build a Therapeutic Playground for children attending
Madrona Day Treatment School at
Kitsap Mental Health Services (KMHS). How amazing that these two young girls made such an impact and invaluable contribution to this community! I heard their story on the news and just had to see it for myself!

Morrill (
KMHS Development Assistant), Alanna Nixon (Kids4Kids), Rochelle
Doan (
KMHS Director of Development & Community Relations) and Joe
Roszak (
KMHS Executive Director). What lovely staff!

Alanna and her Mother joined me for lunch after our
KMHS visit. We had such a nice time. I so enjoyed them both! Thank you Alanna and Paris for embracing special needs children with such dedication, hard work and most importantly love! What a blessing you both are!
It’s difficult to get knowledgeable folks on this topic, but the truth is be understood as what happens you’re preaching about! Thanks violence prevention resources
