Fashion Show Day!

With Mrs. Oregon (Mrs. Congeniality :)) and Mrs. Arizona - getting ready for rehearsals. They are both talented dancers with great stage presence!
So enjoyed chatting with Mrs. Maryland (she placed 1st runner-up!) before rehearsals. She served in the United States Army as a Captain and now helps Veterans find employment. I have so much respect for this lady!

Shared my backstage table with Mrs. Montana - she has to be one of the sweetest people I have ever met. Loved her!

Backstage in my amazing Seahawk Costume getting ready for the runway!
Making those Sea Gals jealous :)!

Next to my other feathery friend Mrs. North Dakota who actually won the Best Costume Award. Congratulations Tera Miller!
Modeling on the Runway!

Pictured above with Brian Johnson (Manager of the Loews Ventana Canyon Resort) and his family. Thanks Brian for inviting us contestants to be a part of this fashion show fundraiser for such a great cause!

(Previous Post Day 4)
Today at Mrs. America I was able to wear my state costume which represents the Seattle Seahawks! Even though I didn't make the final cut when I tried out for the Sea Gals a few years ago, I can a least make up for it now as Mrs. Washington :)! My Director did an amazing job designing and making the costume herself - it took two weeks to complete. I can't wait to post pictures of it when I get home! It was so wonderful to put it to use for a great cause. I was able to model the costume in a fundraiser fashion show sponsored by Loews Resorts to benefit teachers in the classroom helping them purchase school supplies for the year. At any rate, it was a huge success! So happy we were able to make a difference during our time here. Well, got to now and get ready for another exciting day tomorrow!
