Project Red Dress

My nephew Justin Bartle was one of the 12 finalists selected to participate in Seattle's Project Red Dress. The contestants had 16 hours to complete their dresses with a $200 budget. All the proceeds from this event were donated to the American Heart Association's "Go Red for Women" foundation. Pictured above is Justin and his model Gizelle Gonzales walking down the runway.
The host of Project Red Dress 2010 - Kevin Cook/Poison Water - the most notorious Drag Queen from Portland, OR. I was surprised at what a fabulous job he did - he was classy, funny and definitely entertaining. I just had to get a picture with this Queen!

Justin and his model Gizelle posing with Project Runway's Nick Verreous. He too was so funny - really enjoyed him. He was one of the judges and co-hosted the event as well. They are posing in front of a life size drawing of Justin's design.

Had to get a picture with the man of the evening - Justin and beautiful Gizelle modeling Justin's gorgeous Red Dress. Great job Justin!

Pictured above with Justin and Monir Zondghareishi - Creator of Project Red Dress and Program Chair for Fashion Design and Merchandising at the International Academy of Design and Technology. What a lovely lady with a heart of gold!
